Teaching of Spelling
We use the Read, Write Inc scheme to teach spellings throughout school. The majority of children learn their year group spellings, but some children may receive additional intervention to help them apply previously learnt spellings from earlier year groups. Following the Covid pandemic, we are ensuring that children are recapping previous year group spelling objectives, due to the impact of lockdowns and home learning.
